With a world-renowned ski resort at its core, Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets offer you the perfect place to learn, progress and explore.
When you stay at Chalet Morzine you have access to on-mountain advice from ski-instructor Thierry too.

There is more to this winter wonderland however, with awe-inspiring snow-capped peaks, horse-drawn carriages, real igloos, log fires, and beautiful winter walks it’s a great base from which to really experience winter life in the Alps. You can choose to be as active or as inactive as you like. Here’s just a snippet of what’s on offer in this beautiful mountain town in the winter, but there is always more and we would be delighted to help you tailor your holiday and make the best of your stay with us.

World-class skiing from the door

Undoubtedly the main reason that people choose the Portes du Soleil and Morzine is the 650km of groomed pistes, extensive off-piste, cross-country tracks, guides for ski-touring, night skiing, an 80km skiing circuit, snow parks and dedicated freeride areas. To top this, you can ski back almost to the door of Chalet Morzine.

Family-friendly skiing

Skiing with children can be lots of fun. From the age of 3 they can start with Ecole de Ski Francais, although be warned that they will be overtaking you by age 6! Read our guide on a typical day with ski school for little ones and ideas about what to pack.

Cheers Thierry for your superb weather forecasts and knowing exactly where to send me skiing... and more to the point where not to!

Jane & Gary

Great to be able to ski back to the chalet. Just made everything really easy.

Claire & Neil

The boys had a great time skiing with Thierry, Thursday’s ‘jump mania’ was their favourite session.

Jane Flitterman

The day out doing the circuit with Thierry was absolutely brilliant. Not sure about the pear schnapps at Chez Flo though... or were we just tired at the end!

Dan & Natasha

A luxurious home from home, with owners that really care. The chalet location is perfect, we loved being able to ski back at the end of the day. We won’t be going anywhere else.

Helen Stephens, Bath

Thank you so much for a superb holiday, with our great and well-loved ski instructor Thierry. The kids loved him once again. See you next year.

Tim & Kate

The friendliness, knowledge and piste guidance has been invaluable. Thanks a million

Tracy Mercer

Booking Thierry on a private lesson basis has been worth every penny... especially now that I am better than my husband, that’s worth its weight in gold!
