Morzine plays host to a huge, varied and family-friendly aquatic playground. Enjoy an incredible outdoor swimming pool with mountain views, aquatic parks that provide a full day's entertainment, exhilarating white water rapids, stunning waterfalls, and beautiful freshwater lakes and beaches. The amount of water-based fun on offer is almost unbelievable!

Morzine indoor and outdoor pool complex

Quite possibly one of Morzine’s finest assets in the summer is its incredible pool complex. This amazing complex has a 50m outdoor sports pool, a learning pool, an 80m slide, a bouncy castle, “beaches”, a volleyball court, a lawn game area, and deckchairs. Indoors there is a 25m pool, a further learning pool, a paddling pool, and a wellness area with saunas and hammams. There are lifeguards on site and a restaurant. As our kids grew up, we spent weeks on end at the pool – they loved it!

Lake Montriond

Enjoy stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, mini-golf, paddling in the baby lake, or just watching the world go by at Lake Montriond. The 3rd largest lake in the region has a 3km path around the perimeter, a beach area, a playground, and four restaurants.

High up in Avoriaz, the creators of Centre Parcs built the aquatic wonderland known as Aquariaz. There are gentle rapids, a climbing wall, an aquatic half-pipe (“slidewinder”, apparently), massage seats, and an open-air jacuzzi with mountain views.

Cascade de Nyon

If you fancy a real water-based adventure, take a guided canyoning tour at the magnificent Cascade de Nyon. Abseil gorges, jump into natural pools and slide and swim in between waterfalls. All with a guide and, due to the height of the waterfalls, for big kids only.

Lac Léman

A short 40-minute drive from Morzine, the expanse of Lake Geneva’s blue water will make you feel like you are in another world. Public pools on the lake edge, beaches and beautiful villages and towns line the lakeside, so when you are done with swimming there is still plenty of other entertainment close by.

Vevey Adventure Parc

If you don’t mind driving a bit further, the adventure parc just over the border in Switzerland is well worth a day trip to. Water slides, pools and splash areas provide water-based fun and laughter for all ages.

Lake Annecy

The French version of Venice, the stunning old town of Annecy is crisscrossed with bridges and canals. Although great shopping and fabulous markets are there to tempt you, the main attraction in Annecy is the absolutely gorgeous lake. You can take a boat trip, go windsurfing, take out a pedalo or just picnic and swim in the water.
