With beautiful mountain lakes, miles of hiking and biking trails, famous cols to tackle, outdoor pools, and a town buzzing with events you could be forgiven for thinking that this was a better season for coming to the Alps than the winter! You certainly wouldn’t be the first to fall in love with this amazing place for its beautiful summers, and the way that it leaves you feeling like you have had a full factory reset.
Chalet Morzine really comes into its own in the summer. The large, picture-perfect garden and terrace areas are great for Al Fresco dining, playing outdoor games or sipping an aperitif as the sun goes down. Balconies on all sides of the chalet mean that you can sit and watch the world go by from every direction, or you can easily walk two minutes into town to be part of the action.

Mountain Biking
Morzine is renowned for its world-class downhill, enduro and cross-country trails, set among the most stunning scenery. In the heart of the Portes du Soleil, you have an extensive network of trails catering to riders of all skill levels, giving you a truly unforgettable experience whatever your start point.
At the chalet, you have secure storage for up to fifteen bikes in the summer, a bike wash area, a washing machine and dryer for all your kit, and a drying room. When it’s time to head out, you are only a few minutes from the Pléney main lift.

Road cycling
More and more road cyclists are heading to Morzine and the Portes du Soleil, and for good reason. If the relatively quiet roads, famous Cols and endless switchbacks aren’t tempting enough, perhaps the option of following in the footsteps of the Pros and the Tour de France could sway you.

The French Alps offer a fantastic diversity of golf courses, each with different technical features, yet all with magnificent scenery, uncrowded fairways and panoramic views of the lakes and mountains of the Haute Savoie area. Morzine is a great place to base yourself, with two fantastic golf courses in the resort and many just under an hour’s drive away. A great activity for any young budding golfer too, with lessons for children in English at most of the golf courses.

Hang out at Chalet Morzine
Ok, so maybe we are a little biased, but we think that one of the best ways to spend the day is in the chalet garden. If it’s the first time you have all gotten together for the first time in a while there is plenty of space for you to reconnect, play games and just catch up with one another. You could have a BBQ, or even bring a chef in to do one for you while you just hang out and have family time.
